10 Pioneer Athletes Participate in National Signing Day


On Wednesday morning, 10 Pioneer athletes committed both their academic and athletic futures to post-secondary institutions. The signing ceremony took place in the PAC lobby. Best of luck to all of the student-athletes listed below. 


Athletes are listed alphabetically by last name

Malania Bauzon

Malania has committed to Arcadia University to play lacrosse. The Knights are a Division III school competing in the Middle Atlantic Conference. 

Chloe Blantz

Also a star for the field hockey team, Chloe will play softball for the University of Delaware. The Blue Hens are a Division I school competing in the Colonial Athletic Association. The Blue Hens have a strong program, compiling a record of 19-4 in the shortened 2020 season. 

Shayla Burns

Shayla has committed to Gwynedd Mercy University to play lacrosse. The Griffins are a Division III school participating in the recently founded Atlantic East Conference. 

Kelliann Drummond

Kelliann has committed to Juniata College to play lacrosse. The Eagles are a Division III school playing in the Landmark Conference. The Eagles have only had a women's lacrosse team since 2018. 

Daisy Frank

Another multi-sport star, Daisy will be playing field hockey for Syracuse University. The Orange are part of the Division I Atlantic Coast Conference. The Orange won the NCAA title back in 2015. 

Elizabeth Horner

Also a field hockey player, Elizabeth will swim at Mount St. Mary's University. The Mountaineers are members of the Division I Northeast Conference. 

Alex Knapp

A standout on both the baseball and football fields, Alex will play baseball at George Mason University. The Patriots are members of the Division I Atlantic 10 Conference. Sixty-seven alums of the GMU baseball team have gone on to play at a professional level. 

Jeslyn Krebs

Jeslyn has committed to Old Dominion University to play lacrosse. The Monarchs participate in the Division I Big East Conference. The Monarchs have 4 conference titles in their trophy case.

Jacob Long

Jacob has committed to Washington College to play baseball. The Shoremen are a Division III school in the Centennial Conference. Over the past 3 seasons, the Shoremen have compiled a record of 63-32. 

Ellie Parido

Ellie has committed to East Stroudsburg University to swim. The Warriors are a Division II school in the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference. In 2019, the Warriors earned a record of 5-3.
