Cross Country: Freshmen Lead Way As Both Teams Start Season 2-0

After weeks of hard workouts both on campus and at Lancaster County Park, the boys and girls XC teams both got back into action on Thursday. The boys were lead by freshman Colin Whitaker, who was last season's L-L junior high champion. The girls were also led by a freshman in the form of Jaclyn Martin.

All of the top three finishers in the boys' race belonged to the Pioneers, with the previously mentioned Colin Whitaker finishing with a time of 16:20, Parker Stoner with a time of 16:59, and Adrian Elia with a time of 17 flat. LS swept the meet defeating Lancaster Catholic by score of 17-44, and Garden Spot by a score of 15-48.

The girls' race was tighter, with the Girls only defeating the Crusaders by a margin of 7. Jaclyn Martin, Aubrey Magagna, and Tori Smith headed the attack for the girls with times of 21:07, 21:40, and 22:35 respectively. The Spartans were defeated by a score of 19-37.
