Roll Pios! Baseball section champs once again

It was a cold, brisk, Monday night baseball game at home for the Lampeter-Strasburg Pioneers as they faced off against the Elizabethtown Bears. With clinching the Section on the line for the Pioneers, the intensity was high and focus was on point. With the Pioneers winning the Section 21 times in history, another one was in the horizon.

With only one loss on the season, and highly ranked in the state, the 2019 Section Champs was within reach. The Bears were off to a rough start as L-S pitcher Dylan Byler, was sitting kids down up and early throughout the entire game.

With key hits from Thomas Shockey, with a booming home run, and other stinger hits from the team, the Pios came to the last inning.

The E-Town bears finally scored a run in the last inning, but that's all that happened until the Lampeter Strasburg Pioneers won the Section Title of 2019! With the 12 strong skilled seniors, untouchable Juniors, and two talented Sophomores, the Pioneers, skill continue their run for the glory to a final score of 13-1.

The big prizes in mind the regular season is coming to an end, and the playoffs will begin soon. Come cheer on the Pioneers as they represent our district!
