Good Eats in Lancaster: Scrumptious Speckled Hen

Do you happen to be looking for another restaurant or cafe in Lancaster? Our second destination is Speckled Hen. Don’t be fooled by the name… it is actually a cafe, not a hen house. This one will really tickle your taste buds!

Speckled Hen is located in Strasburg. The address is 141 E Main St, Strasburg, PA 17579. Just like Rachel’s Creperie, in my last article, Speckled Hen also has a little bit of everything on its menu.

A big plus is that the food comes out fairly fast, and every time I have gone it has been very fresh. From their drinks to their food, everything is delicious.

My personal favorite drink is the Honest tea, which is not on the menu, but by the counter where you pay. Also, their yogurt parfait is very tasty. The fruit in it changes based on the season, which you would think that some of the fruit they put in would not taste good in a parfait, but just wait until you try it. The granola they put on the parfait is also amazing!

Not only is the food terrific, but the interior design is very artsy and fun. Or do you have kids that can get a little antsy while out to eat? Well, there is also a little play room in case your kids need some fun time while waiting for your food;)

Even when you take a step out of Speckled Hen, the artsy designs do not stop there. All throughout Strasburg there are very cute and historical places to visit. So, if you are looking for a place to take fun pictures, Strasburg is always an option if you are in Lancaster. Or if you are from out of town, you will catch a sight of some Amish communities right around or right outside of Strasburg.

If anything I said did not sound as an amazing as it sounded, you could always check out the menu at, Speckled Hen Coffee, and find something that you think would be worth going for. Have fun! Come back next week for another spectacular restaurant in Lancaster. 😃
