Still undefeated boys lacrosse team trounces Ephrata

On April 1 the L-S boys lacrosse team continued its winning streak by taking down Ephrata 18-3. At first it seemed like it would be a close game; L-S senior Alex Knarr scored off an assist from Jake Groff, and then Ephrata scoring directly after. However L-S took the lead with two more goals scored by Knarr. Trevor King and Teddy Mazaheri also scored before the end of the first quarter.
Nate Patterson was, again, key on offense for the Pioneers
Early in the second quarter Nate Patterson threw in another goal for L-S. A small storm caused a delay midway through the quarter, but that didn't distract L-S from their game. Knarr, Logan Miller, Dawson Albright, and Mazaheri each claimed a goal for L-S.

At the start of the second half the game, L-S led 10-1. The Patterson brothers did their thing and claimed yet another goal for L-S. Mazaheri and Knarr each scored before another bout of lightning stopped the game. Upon its resumption, Knarr continued his goal streak with two more goals assisted by Nate and Noah Patterson respectively.

Patrick McClain staked his claim by scoring a sixteenth goal for L-S. After a timeout, Ephrata launched a feeble comeback attempt and scored two goals before L-S took back possession. Nate Portrey and McClain scored a goal each before the end of the game. The final score was a startling 18-3; the Pioneers remain undefeated.
