Swim team splits dual meet with Conestoga Valley

The Pioneer swim teams dueled the Bucks today. Both teams on either side worked very hard and had many personal bests and fast times.
The girls defeated Conestoga Valley with the score of 106 to CV’s 55. First places from L-S were Hailey Welchans (200-yard freestyle and 100-yard freestyle), Allyson Dull (50-yard freestyle), Kristin Allen (100-yard butterfly and 100-yard backstroke). The 200-yard medley relay team (Emily Lichty, Ellie Kingsley, Kristin Allen, and Allyson Dull) won with the time of 2:08.73. The 200-yard freestyle relay (Meghan Brubaker, Julia Smoker, Alexis Sutton, and Hailey Welchans) also won with the time of 1:57.21 as well as 400-yard freestyle relay (Kristin Allen, Meghan Brubaker, Allyson Dull, and Hailey Welchans) with the time of 4:15.41. 
The boys fell to Conestoga Valley with 116-55. Colin Anderson pulled through with the only first places for the boys’ team in the 500-yard freestyle and the 50-yard Freestyle. Anderson broke the pool record in his 50-yard freestyle race with the time of 22.47.
The team has another home meet on Thursday against Ephrata.
