On Monday night, the boys' soccer team hosted the Elizabethtown Bears for senior night. The team lost 2-1.

On March 14th, 2024, Lampeter-Strasburg High School hosted the District Chorus Concert. Students from 4th to 12th grade performed captivating songs, and the auditorium was packed full of friends and family members who came to watch the performance.  Preparation for the concert was a long process, but a much needed one. No one knew how to sing the songs in the beginning, but after several rehearsals and time to fix the small details, they got to the level they performed at on the 14th.  The evening started off with the youngest singers of the night: the 4th and 5th graders. Their performance was followed by the Martin Meylin Madrigal singers and chorus, followed by the High School Madrigals and chorus. To end the evening, all groups joined on stage to perform “Ad Astra” together, a beautiful piece consisting of Latin and English lyrics. Orchestra in the Limelight

This past Monday’s districtwide orchestra performance was a spectacular blend of symphony and adrenaline. Led by Mr. Robert Shaubach, the high school orchestra presented four very different pieces they have worked hard to bring to life. “Intermezzo Sinfonico” is described as a rustic composition from the Cavalleria Rusticana opera. The tone of the piece itself greatly resembles the grand music of an opera. The sound reverberated off the walls with impact and emotion at the peak of the song. Their next piece was one familiar to many. “The Chronicles of Narnia” piece encompassed much of the score from the movie. Fit for the silver screen, the ride took the audience to the farthest reaches of the land of Narnia. The “Narnia Main Theme” was carried out perfectly to the ear with its magical and uplifting melody. Thunderous booms from the drums brought a dramatic touch to this piece. Mr. Krothe: A Teacher Beyond the Classroom

In the academic landscape of Lampeter-Strasburg High School, Mr. Krothe stands out as a dedicated Technology Education Teacher, leaving an indelible mark on both the classroom and the extracurricular domain. Portrait of Mr. Krothe 2023 Teaching a diverse array of subjects across all grades, Mr. Krothe's classes include Photography, Intro. to Info Technology, and Woodworking. Notably, his enthusiasm for interactive projects is evident in assignments such as the 3D Phone Stand Keychain in Info Technology and the crafting of the Colonial Desk in Woodworking. While he refrains from picking a favorite project in Photography, he takes pleasure in witnessing his students grasp the intricacies of using a camera. Beyond the confines of the classroom, Mr. Krothe extends his support to various sports at Lampeter-Strasburg High School throughout the seasons.
