Enigma Weekend Edition: Pottery by Ellie Knowles

Pottery by Ellie Knowles   Enigma  is an art and literary magazine. Staff membership is open to any interested high school student. Each year’s staff is formed at the beginning of that school year. The Enigma staff is responsible for all aspects of production, from writing and artwork selection to layout and publication tasks. Members are also required to attend Coffeehouse readings. Items intended for publication may be submitted to the faculty adviser, Mrs. Carol Allen-Gordon.

Seth Beers scores 1,000 career point!

Last night, the Lampeter-Strasburg Boys Basketball traveled to York Suburban. While the Pioneers were unable to beat the Trojans, losing 50-59, senior Seth Beers did score his 1000th career point in an L-S uniform. Congratulations, Seth! "Snowboarding" by Bennett Stoltzfus Side to side your body sways as you speed down the snow covered mountainside the winter air crashes like a wave against your face fills your lungs then ricochets back into the atmosphere the sky like a canvas that has been smothered with a light grey paint with each turn of your body your board carves in and out of the blanket of powder behind you lies a trail, a blank piece of paper that has one singular s-shaped marking who knew that line could be the effect of such a feeling a feeling of freedom, the dull sky beings to cry out tiny white crystals that fill in the lines from your past this is snowboarding.   Enigma  is an art and literary magazine. Pioneers defeat West York in District 3 5-A quarterfinals match-up

Basketball falls to Etown, 62-65 at the buzzer

Coming into Monday's game against Elizabethtown, the Pioneers were coming off of a tough loss to Cedar Crest. This would be the first game of districts with Elizabethtown (17-7) hosting L-S (16-8). At the start of the game, the Pioneers came out strong with a wide variety of shots made by Darren Landis, including several three-pointers. Elizabethtown stayed in the game with a wide variety of close shots in the paint.  At the end of the first quarter, the Pioneers were leading 15-13. With a very similar second quarter that included a lot of back and forth action between the two teams.  At the end of the second quarter the score with the Pioneers leading 28-25.  Coming out of the half Elizabethtown was looking to take the lead.
