Pioneers best Elco in first-round gridiron contest, 34-7

Going into last Friday's first-round playoff game against Elco, the Lampeter-Strasburg Football team had the cards stacked against them. For starters, they were minus their quarterback Conner Nolt due to an injury.  Nolt had already replaced season starting quarterback Sean McTaggart who was hurt in Week 1 of play.

As such the Pioneers leaned heavy on its defense. Nick Del Grande was there to help the team by grabbing a loose ball on defense and ran 25 yards for a touchdown in the first quarter.

Bryan McKim also helped the team by rushing for 140 yards and snagging a touchdown as well.

When the dust settled, the Pioneers held Elco to one touchdown beating the Raiders 34-7. This Friday L-S travels to undefeated York Suburban for the quarterfinal contest. Good luck!
