Pioneers become District 3 4A champs after upset over Berks Catholic

On Friday, the Lampeter-Strasburg football team beat Berks Catholic, 35-21. The victory made the Pioneers District 3 Class AAAA champions!

Here's a couple of stats surrounding the win. First, this is the program's second district title ever. The last one came more than ten years ago in 2007. In addition, the Pioneers are the second team EVER to win a district crown after entering the bracket as the number eight seed. Finally, all three of those games were on the away.

This Friday L-S travels to Hollidaysburg to challenge Thomas Jefferson in the semi-finals.

Go, Pioneers!
