Junior High Boys Basketball steals the win from Garden Spot to achieve an undefeated season

On Tuesday, February, Lampeter-Strasburg Junior High Boys Basketball went to Garden Spot for their last game of the season. When they last faced off, the Pioneers beat the Spartans by over 20 points. But Garden Spot was definitely ready to play this time.

The game started off with the usual starters Beau Heyser, Luka Vranich, Payton Cunningham, Carson Garver, and Berkeley Wagner. From the tipoff, L-S was not looking so great. In the first minute, the Pioneers would be down five before they would score their first basket of the game making it 5-2.
Late in first quarter, number 50 on Garden Spot took a bad fall on his ankle and was out for the rest of the game. The rest of the first half was back and forth of both sides, but at the buzzer, L-S was leading 22-14.

In the third quarter, a lot of things changed on both teams. L-S turned it over a lot less, and Garden Spot clamped up on defense to keep it a tight game. At the end of the third, L-S still led, but the score was 23-28.

The fourth quarter was the whole game-decider for Garden Spot. To beat L-S they would have to get down on defense faster and have a good drive on offense. But in the end, Garden Spot couldn´t pull it out. L-S beat the Spartans 37-31 making the Pioneers undefeated for the whole season. In fact, the Boys Basketball Junior High team has only lost one game in the past three seasons.
