I am currently a freshman myself and wish that someone would've given me tips for this school year. So I hope this will help current and future freshman to get through their first high school year.
Yes, I know this isn't fun but you need to prepare for your classes and at least know some of the basics of the course. An easy way to do this is to ask someone who previously took the class and start learning some of the concepts. This will help you immensely when you're actually taking the course and give you a leg up.
Don't procrastinate because it will make your life really miserable. If you try to take a break and wait until the last minute you will panic and become swamped by the continuously assigned homework. The teachers aren't going to stop assigning work if you need to finish something! (I did not follow this and am now panicking as completing this)

The Lampeter-Strasburg Football team improved their overall record to 3-0 on Saturday* after defeating West York, 49-6.
The game started rocky for the Pioneers when they fumbled the opening kickoff but quickly found their groove with the offense racking up 517 total yards. Standout players included Bryan McKim who rushed for 120 yards and quarterback Connor Nolt who was four for seven with a trio of touchdown passes.
On Friday, the Pioneers will host rival Conestoga Valley for the Section 2 opener in the Lampeter Bowl. Don't miss it!
* The game was held on Saturday at 1 pm instead of the traditional Friday night 7 pm start time due to a referee shortage in York County.

Going into Friday's Lampeter-Strasburg vs Penn Manor football, the Pioneers were full of emotion after losing starting quarterback, Sean McTaggart, for the season to an injury last week.
Turns out L-S didn't have anything to worry about defeating the Comets 35-0 in non-league matchup.
Come out and support the Pioneers as they cross the Susquehanna to challenge West York Saturday afternoon at 1 pm.
