Who will be crowned 2018 prom queen and king?

This year’s prom court consists of seven girls and seven boys. The candidates were nominated by teachers and staff for their participation in class, extracurricular activities, and positive interactions with peers and staff, and commitment to excellence.

Candidates for Prom Queen
Emily Bishop, Shannon Ferrari, Hanna Garber, Sarah Gawne, Olivia Honert, Jenna Lapp, and Rachel Marcroft.


Candidates for Prom King
Ethan Bare, Isaac Beers, Peyton Denlinger, Dylan Grau, Steven Greenwood, Cam Neimeyer, and Luke Weigel.

Voting will take place at the prom by the L-S students in attendance. Prom is this Saturday, May 19 at the Country Barn. Prom King and Queen will be crowned that evening.

Meet the Candidates

Ethan Bare

Ethan busied himself with chorus, mads, county chorus, thespian society, Tri-M, plays, musicals, guitar, soccer, ski and outdoor club, Interact, Heroes, WLSH, and work study with the one and only Mr. Wieand. This fall Ethan plans to participate in a gap year at Costa Rica with Score International and then in 2019 go to Liberty University to major in nursing.

Isaac Beers
Isaac played basketball for the boys' basketball team. He was a member of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy and the National Honor Society. This fall, Isaac plays to attend Lancaster Bible College to play basketball and study business.

Peyton Denlinger

Peyton participated in varsity football, varsity basketball, Varsity Club, and works at the Fireside. This fall Peyton will study kinesiology at McDaniel College.

Dylan Grau
Dylan served as senior class vice president and senior representative to the school board. He was also a member of the National Honor Society, ski and snowboard club, Heroes, track, swimming, and cross country. This fall he plans to attend Temple University to major in biology and Spanish.

Steven Greenwood

Steven participated in tennis, chorus, madrigals, county chorus, district chorus, jazz band, concert band, marching band, full orchestra, FCS officer, thespian society vice president, chorus president, NHS parliamentarian, Tri-M member, youth group at Willow Street Mennonite Church. This fall Steven plans to attend Liberty University for music and worship.

Cam Niemeyer

Cam participated in football, basketball, track, ski and snowboard club, and Heroes. This fall Cam will study actuarial science and play football at Lebanon Valley College.

Luke (Bubba) Weigel

Luke participated in Varsity Club serving as treasurer, basketball, woodworking, and hanging with the boys. This fall Luke will attend LaSalle University to student education and play basketball.

Emily Bishop
Emily Bishop is class president and Shakespeare Club president as well as a member of Interact Club and the National Honor Society. This fall Emily will study secondary English education through the Honors College program at Millersville University.

Hanna Garber

Hanna is the president of the National Honors Society. She plays softball, basketball, and field hockey. Hanna was also a member of the Chick-fil-A Leader Academy and Varsity Club. This fall Hanna plans to major in mathematics education and play softball at the University of Delaware.

Sarah Gawne

This year Sarah was involved in FCS, NHS, Heroes, concert band, basketball, and track. She has also participated in cross country, winter track, student tutoring, and Aevideum. Sarah served at her church in Guest Connections and children's ministries. She enjoys handout out with friends, watching movies, reading, writing, and crocheting. This fall Sarah plays to attend Penn State to pursue a degree in biomedical engineering.

Olivia Honert

Olivia has been busy this year painting and drawing. She also participated in cross country, track & field, swimming, concert band, marching band, chorus, and NHS. This fall Olivia plans to attend Arcadia University to major in scientific illustration.

Shannon Ferrari

Shannon was in National Honors Society, thespian society, president of the art club, and secretary of GSA. Shannon This fall Shannon will study curatorial studies at Moore College of Art & Design.

Jenna Lapp
Jenna participated in student council, Internet Club, Varsity Club, field hockey, and Heroes. This fall Jenna plans to major in early childhood education at Eastern University and play field hockey.


Rachel Marcroft

Rachel participated in Heroes, tennis, Fellowship of Christian Students, NHS, concert choir, youth group, and lifeguarding. This fall Rachel will major in nutrition at Messiah College to become a dietitian.
