Food Critic Nick: The Breakfast is by miles the best

This week’s edition of Food Critic Nick talks about breakfast for lunch.

At long last, the quintessential, unparalleled in both quality and quantity, unrivaled in basically every other aspect, breakfast for lunch.

So what makes breakfast “for lunch” so flawless? Let me begin with the hash browns. As opposed to the satisfactory tater tots, these gifts from God are warm, soft, and never have an underwhelming or unreasonable amount of butter. Whether or not you decide to dip the hash in ketchup, they are the highlight of the course. If I want seconds, I will almost undoubtedly snag these.

The French toast sticks, although bearing little resemblance to conventional French toast, are a home run. Admittedly, they taste bland plain, but dipped in syrup these babies pack a punch. For maximum results, soak these in the syrup.

Now this is the trial that separates the boys from the men: Omelet or sausage? The sausage (pictured above) and the omelet (in the first picture, but not really clear) are sides that both come with the hash browns and French toast, but you must decide which one pick.

On the first hand, you have the omelet: Nice warm cheddar cheese wrapped in egg, what’s not to like? It has a soft and spongy consistency, making it all the more enjoyable to eat. I have personally experimented with dipping this in ketchup and syrup, and both surprisingly do a good job complementing the flavor.

Here we have the sausage. It tastes like your typical breakfast sausage, greasy and not smoky enough. I’ve never been too much of a fan of this type of sausage; I’m more of a spicy smoked sausage guy myself. If you’re big on sausage, go for it.

Breakfast for lunch. What more can I say? If you have never tried it, I don’t know what you’re waiting for.
