What is the new Fortnite craze?
Move over Clash Royale, because the latest gaming craze to sweep Lampeter-Strasburg is Fortnite.
Fornite jis a co-op sandbox survival video game avaialbe on PS4, Xbox, and PC.
I personally play the game on PlayStation with all my friends. Fortnite is set in contemporary Earth, where the sudden appearance of a worldwide storm causes 98% of the world's population to disappear, and zombie-like creatures rise to attack the remainder. The game is a cross between Minecraft and Left 4 Dead.
The main objective of the game is be the last man standing with 100 people starting each time.
There are different modes such as solo, free for all, duos, and squads. Solo and free for all are self-explanatory.
In duos, you and another person square off against another two man team. In squads, group of 3 to 4 people going around the map as a squad and trying to defeat all of the other squads in the game.
In the beginning of the game you start with your team. If you are in duos or squads you have to wait for there to be 100 people.
Once there is 100 people, you are placed in the battle bus where it takes you over the map and through that time you have to jump out with your glider and go to the cities or locations to play the game.
The objective is to open up chests and get guns, resources, bandages, and shields. After you get all your supplies you go out and hunt for people and try to survive be the victor royale.
