Graduate Spotlight: Former L-S students working in art world

Luke Milanak
Lampeter-Strasburg graduate Luke Milanak is a student at Tyler School of Art. He started school as a sculpture major, then turned to metalsmithing and is now working on a concentration in glass blowing.

High school art teacher, Mrs. Jen Braas said, "All of us in the art department had the pleasure of working with him and he received many accolades for his work while he was in high school."

This summer Milanak spent a few weeks honing his skills at Corning Glass in New York where he had an internship.

He also earned a scholarship to attend Penland School of Art and Crafts during the summer. Penland is an international center for craft education dedicated to helping people live creative lives and is located in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina.

Alexis Miller
Another shout out goes to Alexis Miller, another L-S graduate who attended Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. Miller graduated with honors with an art degree/concentration in jewelry and metalsmithing. She is living her dream now living in New York City and working for Tiffany and Company.
