Painting By Elli Strauss Enigma is the art and literary magazine. Staff membership is open to any interested high school student. Each year’s staff is formed at the beginning of that school year. The Enigma staff is responsible for all aspects of production, from writing and artwork selection to layout and publication tasks. Members are also required to attend Coffeehouse readings. Items intended for publication may be submitted to the faculty adviser, Mrs. Carol Allen-Gordon

On February 6, the Lampeter-Strasburg Quiz Bowl team traveled north to face off against Cocalico in its sixth match of the season. Quiz Bowl is a best of three contest. Monday's match saw the Pioneers losing a close first round to the Eagles, 225-310. The Pioneers swiftly found redemption in the second round, soundly defeating Cocalico, 330 to 125. With a even split, the third round was going to be the decider. When the dust settled, L-S had won, hands down, with a score of 315 to 165 points. Overall, Cocalico scored 600 points falling well short of L-S's 870 The L-S Quiz Bowl team is currently ranked 13th out of 25 teams, sporting a record of eight rounds won and ten rounds lost. The team will soon see action again, with a tournament at Conestoga Valley on February 25 and playoffs at Manheim Township on February 28. --By Jarrett Emmerling, LS News reporter

The stakes are high! The winning Junior in the Pioneer contest will receive a front row parking space, Prom tickets, Post Prom tickets and a Spirit Pass to be used during their Senior year! Vote for your favorite person, $1 = 1 vote. Proceeds benefit Doctors without Borders and the Spring Blast & Post Prom events to be held Saturday, May 19th. Tickets at the door are $5 each.
