Madrigals set to embark on holiday concert tour

For the 30 students who comprise the L-S Madrigal Singers, it is about to be simultaneously the "most wonderful time of the year" and the "most busy time of the year." The group has been hard at work since its first rehearsal more than two months ago, and the progress borders on incomprehensible; it is now ready for its annual tour throughout the community. This year's Christmas set includes the Pentatonix version of "Silent Night," the English carol "I Saw Three Ships," the festive anthem "Sing We with Gladness," the joyous madrigal "Here We Come A-Caroling," and the secular holiday song "While the Snow Lay Sleeping."

The group will perform at the Quarryville Tree Lighting (December 4 at 7:00 PM), Penn Cinema IMAX (December 5 at 9:00 AM), Meadia Heights (December 8 at 7:00 PM), and Kitchen Kettle Village (December 11 at 5:00 PM), as well as at the Strasburg Rail Road on December 6 and 13. It will also perform at the high school holiday concert on December 17. Be sure to come out to one, two, or seven Madrigal performances to support some of the best musicians at L-S.
