Weekend Edition: 'Silence Poem' by Jake Klecko

By Jake Klecko

Silence can end anything
like a bullet or a knife
although it can be more painful
It can hurt others for their whole life
Silence can start a problem
Or possibly be a solution
Using it correctly can make a point better the words
Some suffer sulkingly
Scared with the sting of silences sound
silence is a choice
the decision of its use can be life changing
It can be used to help, or to hurt
Your choice of use defines who you are
You can be the loudest person on earth
without ever having to say a word
