Sam Ingram will represent LSTS
in the Fair Queen contest

For as long as Samantha Ingram can remember, she has sat in the bleachers every September on Fair Queen Competition night watching the nervous candidates grace the stage at the West Lampeter Fair. “[They looked] like princesses,” and in Samantha’s opinion, “Who wouldn’t want to be a princess?” However, the Fair Queen Competition has become much more than that for this passionate, fun loving candidate. This opportunity has become a vessel for using her public speaking gift, conducting herself as a role model for young “princesses” to come, and, hey, it looked like fun!

Samantha will be representing the Lampeter-Strasburg Thespian Society, a club she is passionate about to no end. “[The arts] are a great way to express yourself and enjoy times with friends, and kids should know that. Kids should see how fun it is.”

Using her stage performance skills to guide her, Samantha will wear her mother’s outfit from the Fair Queen Competition years ago. She will take with her the small piece of the past as she looks to be an example for the future. The future of the Thespian Society. The future for the Fair Queen Competition. The future for the young girls to follow in her footsteps. Sam will represent them all.
Ingram is an avid performer

In addition to representing the Thespian Society, Samantha is a member of an endless list of activities which include: Chorus (Vice President), Shakespeare Club (Vice President), plays and musicals, Band, Madrigal Singers, Jazz Band, Full Orchestra, National Honor Society, Fellowship of Christian Students, WLSH, Youth Group, and employment at the Strasburg Rail Road. Samantha’s future plans are still in the works, but college is definitely a strong possibility as well as pursuing her love for acting and possibly attending Youth With A Mission. As the Fair Queen Competition is just around the corner, Samantha is eager to no end. When asked what she would like people to remember her for in this competition, Samantha answered, “[That I] provided inspiration and was a good role model for little girls."
Ingram exudes "confidence and contagious
smile"

Samantha will channel her love for the arts, her love for her community, and most of all, her love for life in the competition next week! With her confidence and contagious smile, Samantha is sure to shine bright on the Fair Queen stage. All that’s left to say is, “Break a leg!” And don’t worry, that’s not a literal request. Just actors lingo.
