In My Own Words: As season ends for girls volleyball, players wish seniors best of luck

In My Own Words

In this installment of In My Own Words, Ava Grandizio is a post season wrap-up for girls volleyball.
Late last month the Lampeter-Strasburg Volleyball team finished their 2018 fall season. The girls spent most of their time hitting the balls and working on the precise footwork of every play made that season.

Through all of the running, conditioning, and touches on the ball, the girls on both Varsity and Junior Varsity had a pretty great season full of wins and also a few loses.

Wednesday, October 17 was the last game of the regular season and senior night against our ultimate rivals, the Solanco Mules. The Junior Varsity team won against them 2-0, and the Varsity took home the dub, 3-1. As this was the last game of the season, the girls were very sad to see their senior team mates go.

Throughout the season there was a ton of team bonding and getting to know everyone. The fact that the team had practice Monday through Friday and some Saturdays for far away tournaments, the girls made a close bond.

We wish the seniors good luck, and the underclassman a good luck for next season!
